Statham’s is an award-winning eatery in the heart of Kilkenny. Located in the esteemed Pembroke Hotel, its reputation for delicious dishes, cocktails, and desserts is widespread, not to mention its renowned chef, Ken Harker. However, the famous breakfast, lunch & dinner spot wanted to draw attention to its growing farm-to-fork menu, eclectic event space, and long-time partnerships with local suppliers.

We jumped in, forks first, to create a digital strategy that would expose Statham’s ever-changing and always delightful menu to a broader audience of diners through a robust content calendar with compelling imagery and videos that ultimately translate to revenue.

Our strategy includes spotlighting menu specials, restaurant staff, testimonials, and customer favourites, like daily handmade scones, seasonal coffees, and popular bites like their world-famous tater tots. It emphasises establishing a brand voice, quickly becoming “Statham’s Speak” for restaurant and hotel staff.

While authenticity and responsiveness remain top of mind, we leverage inspiration from Chef Ken Harker and restaurant manager James Swarbrick to develop promotional categories and campaigns around food items, calendar events, date nights, and family meals to connect with visiting hotel guests and convert Kilkenny-area residents to regular dine-in customers.

Our content focuses on action shots, product placement, mouthwatering photos, and giving customers more ways to imagine themselves enjoying a meal or drink. We incorporate the best times to post with related hashtags so “burger and pint” images appear well before dinnertime.

Special events are also part of the plan, so collaborative occasions with the hotel and spa and prominent community gatherings like Savour Kilkenny and the Arts Festival take centre stage. We also use Q&A promotions, influencers, and user-generated content to optimise engagement.
