Crowfield Golf Club wanted to renovate its clubhouse, expand its outdoor footprint, and leverage the “refresh” to excite and engage its membership and community.
Since Crowfield Golf Club opened 33 years ago, the 18-hole destination in Goose Creek, South Carolina, has been a popular gathering place for local golfers, visitors, and high school teams.
Despite its years of operation and success, the club had never asked its membership for support. In 2022, a vision of renovation and expansion changed that, and the city reached out to KHC for help.
Working alongside the city manager and Crowfield Golf Club’s General Manager, Troy Sanders, we developed a fundraising and community awareness campaign to support the planned upgrades and generate buy-in from the community.
We developed a fundraising campaign and strategies around the club’s goals, including a gift table, renovation and expansion features, naming opportunities, and potential donors.
Next, we developed a visual identity for the campaign that encompassed a 12-page Case for Support brochure and a variety of related materials, such as letterhead, envelopes, pledge cards, naming opportunity sheets, an eNews template, social media tiles, a web page, donor gifts, and signage promoting The Crowfield Collaborative, a Campaign to Renovate, Elevate & Celebrate our Clubhouse.
To engage the broader club membership and other local supporters, we developed Inaugural Friends of Crowfield and Fans of Crowfield giving opportunities, along with polo shirts and golf bag tags for participants.
