Isle of Palms, SC – As the 2019 SC Branded Awards, also known as the “Brandys”, were handed out at the South Carolina State Chamber’s Annual Summit on the evening of November 21, it was Columbia, SC-made PROOF Alcohol Ice Cream that took the honor for the most innovative product in the Palmetto State.
Founded by Kentucky native and former University of South Carolina women’s basketball star, Jenn Randall-Collins, PROOF uses proprietary formulas and production techniques to curate a dozen rotating flavors in permanent and seasonal collections. Each pint contains 7% ABV or Alcohol by Volume and a magical pairing of top-shelf spirits and popular ice cream flavors.
PROOF hired K. Hope Creative as its agency of record in early 2019 and the boutique branding and marketing firm unveiled the alcohol ice cream company’s new brand identity just in time for National Ice Cream Day.
“We’ve had a lot of experience working with start-ups and female founders, and it’s the energy of that combination that ultimately drew us to PROOF,” said Kim Bowman, founder and CEO of K. Hope Creative. “Of course, we were also drawn by the incredible taste of the product and the fact that it’s made daily in South Carolina.”
Along with a new brand identity, K. Hope Creative designed and developed PROOF’s packaging, promotional items, website, and catering menu, as well as a full suite of marketing materials. The firm is currently developing a strategic marketing plan to drive sales and awareness, while also helping to grow the company’s footprint across the South and beyond.
“It’s an incredible company and product to be aligned with, and we feel like we’re an integral part of the team,” Bowman said. “Celebrating PROOF’s win as the recipient of the Product Innovation Award was one of our top highlights of 2019. The way we see it, the company’s just getting started, and so are we.”
