Ally & Eloise Founder Aleka Selig was approaching 12 years in business and the first anniversary of her second location when she reached out to KHC to elevate her brand and build momentum to reach beyond Columbia, SC, into new markets and revenue streams. She was ready for more, and we were happy to provide it.
Though the Ally & Eloise brand had positive energy spanning more than a decade in business, our journey with the popular bake shop began with a holistic brand audit, followed by goal-setting and prioritizing strategies. Because the Ally & Eloise brand family has significant potential, we initially focused on refinements and modifications that would have a more substantial impact on the business in the long term.
We refreshed the identity, expanding the color palette and iconography to make it easier to use across platforms, and we added a “sweet” tagline that expresses Ally & Eloise’s core values. From there, we refreshed the website, created new print collateral, and developed new formulas to expand brand recognition and loyalty through email marketing and social media.
As the reinvigorated brand took shape, we concentrated on adding quality photography and videography to complement an expansive content calendar and campaign plan. We developed the “Home of the Crunchy Cookie” trademark to reinforce Aleka’s love of crunchy cookie pieces and the story behind it. Then, we enhanced that story with other monikers promoting some of Ally & Eloise’s top sellers: Maker of the MegaRoonie, Baker of Baby Cakes, and Creator of Cheesecake Teensies.
With a stronger brand foundation and marketing plan, our focus shifted to market expansion with new products and packaging, wholesaling, and national shipping.
